5th UK-Ukraine-Spain Meeting on Solar Physics and Space Science
26 – 30 August
The 5th British-Ukrainian-Spanish Conference on Solar Physics and Space Research was held in Kyiv, on the territory of the State University. T.G. Shevchenko, from August 26 to 30, 2019. It was attended by 45 participants from 6 countries, who made 37 reports.
A wide range of aspects of solar physics, space science and solar-terrestrial relations were discussed during the meeting. The organizers sought to cover all aspects of solar and space research, including observations, theory and numerical simulations. The main idea of the meeting was to consider the entire solar-terrestrial domain as a single system, not each region in particular.
The aim of the conference was to develop new joint projects that would be embodied in publications and grant applications. Sufficient time was planned for discussions and debates, which ensured proper interaction between scientists and provided an opportunity to generate new ideas for further cooperation.
Despite the intensive schedule of reports, there was time for a meaningful tour of Kyiv for those who are in our city for the first time.
A collection of abstracts of conference proceedings is available on the conference website on the page Scientific Program:
